There's just one day left in the 2017 SJTFL season; Championship Saturday. Here is a quick rundown of how the day will play out:

THE GAMES: 

12:00 Women's Final - The Big’s Bears vs. The Heat

2:00 Men's Final - Big’s Mt. Pearl Fireball Mustangs vs. ECMB Gators

Location: Brother Egan field, as always.

Some notes about the field and bench areas for Saturday. Kindly ask two things:

1. If you are playing this weekend, once you game is completed, you kindly clear the bench area in reasonable amount of time to give next teams competing a chance to use their bench

2. Fans and spectators respect the bench areas as well and leave the teams enough room for their game. The bench areas will be marked off and clearly identified.

THE FOOD:

There will be free food available for league members for much of the day. We have a barbecue that will operate from 12 noon to about 3:30.

THE PARTY:

Once again the Stanley Steamer will be the home to the league's year-end party. Drink tickets are being prepared and will be distributed at the party Saturday night. The plan is to hand out the year end awards at around 10:00 pm (latest 10:30 pm). So time your arrival accordingly please. 

Congrats to the Bears, Heat, Mustangs, and Gators on making the finals, and good luck to all teams!

THE. PLAYOFFS. ARE. HERE.

First up is the Mens quarter-finals on Saturday, featuring the 9ers vs the Chargers at 11am, followed by the Bucs vs the Spartans at 1pm. The Womens semis are Sunday morning with the Heat taking on the Rockets at 9:30am, followed by the Bears vs the Sharks at 11:30am. The Mens semis are last and will see the Gators taking on the highest remaining quarter-final seed at 1:30pm, followed by the Mustangs against the lowest remaining quarter-final seed at 3:30pm.

Tonight's game between the Storm and Rockets is cancelled due to city fields being closed for weather. The game has been reschedule to Wed Aug 16 @ 6 PM.  The Steelers will still have line duty.
